I, like many, first heard of The Temper Trap when I went to see (500) Days of Summer this summer, of which their track "Sweet Disposition" was featured in multiple scenes of the movie. It's one of those tracks that makes you want to just start crying because of how beautiful it is, and I'll admit that I may or may not have actually cried during the movie when their song was played (don't tell anyone). Their debut album, Conditions, was released about a month ago and I have absolutely fallen in love with this band. It's a mesmerizing album, and is perfect for anything from a roadtrip CD to background music while sitting alone in your room. I can tell this band is going to get really big really fast.

In one sense I am hoping that The Temper Trap does not become mainstream but in another sense I am hoping that they do as this is a beautiful song from a beautiful album. I am glad to see others feel as I do about this band and album and I just wish everyone could hear this album.
