One of the most recent bands I have learned about is Toro y Moi aka Chaz Bundick, a one-man act who has created addictive ambient synth pop from mere bedroom recordings. His stuff has a similar feel to Discovery's Album LP, but he definitely has his own style and I think he's brilliant. He's opening for Islands in their upcoming tour so check him out!
